Dr. Jacobson, a third-generation dentist, has successfully operated a general dentistry practice for over 25 years in Manhattan with an emphasis on periodontics. He also has significant accomplishments in dental research and teaching, detailed below.

• Practitioner of general dentistry with an emphasis on periodontics since 1988; practice located in Manhattan. Practiced general dentistry in Manhattan until 1986. Passed specialty boards in periodontics in 1988. Practiced with an emphasis in preventative dentistry and periodontics since 1988. Certified in conscious sedation in 2006.
• Licensed to practice dentistry in New York, Colorado, Connecticut and New Jersey.
• Graduated from specialty program in Periodontics in 1988, eligible to limit practice to Periodontics.
• Worked as associate professor of preventative dentistry at Columbia University’s School of Dental Medicine, 1982-86. Conducted research on xerostomia (dry mouth).
• Graduated Stonybrook School of Dental Medicine in 1981. Conducted research on collagen diseases.
• General Practice Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, 1982.
• Graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1977 with a BA in philosophy.
• Has exceeded the professional requirements of continuing education by 30-60 hours per year.
• Married to Robin; father of Max and Allie.
