With over a decade of experience in dental surgery and implant dentistry, Dr. Alejandro Castaño brings exceptional expertise and a commitment to personalized care to Midtown Dental Services. Known for his friendly demeanor and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Castaño combines scientific innovation with technical precision to create transformative results for his patients.

Dr. Castaño’s distinguished academic journey began at the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology as a Trustee’s Merit Scholar. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine under the prestigious Dr. Marlene Klyvert Merit Scholarship. His dedication to excellence led him to complete his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.

As a Board-Certified Periodontist and active member of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Castaño remains at the forefront of dental innovation. His research contributions to major scientific dental journals span various specialized areas, including oral melanoma treatment, periodontal plastic surgery, and immediate dental implants. His recent work focuses on groundbreaking applications of 3D printing in dental bone grafting procedures, showcasing his commitment to advancing the field of dental surgery.

Originally from Colombia, Dr. Castaño brings a multicultural perspective to his practice, offering services in both English and Spanish. He creates a welcoming, safe environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their dental needs and aspirations. Beyond the office, he pursues his passions for photography, sports, and travel, bringing the same enthusiasm and dedication to his personal interests as he does to transforming his patients’ smiles.
