With over a decade of experience in dental surgery and implant dentistry, Dr. Alejandro Castaño brings exceptional expertise and a commitment to personalized care to Midtown Manhattan. Dr. Castaño’s distinguished academic journey began at the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology as a Trustee’s Merit Scholar. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine under the prestigious Dr. Marlene Klyvert Merit Scholarship. His dedication to excellence led him to complete his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.

As a dual board-certified specialist in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, Dr. Alejandro Castaño is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology and the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. He remains at the forefront of dental innovation through ongoing research and clinical advancement. His contributions to major scientific dental journals span specialized areas including oral melanoma management, periodontal plastic surgery, and immediate implant placement. His recent work focuses on emerging applications of 3D printing in bone grafting and regenerative procedures, reflecting his continued commitment to advancing the science and practice of dental surgery.

Originally from Colombia, Dr. Castaño brings a multicultural perspective to his practice, offering services in both English and Spanish.
