Mark Jacobson, DDS
General Dentist/Periodontist
Dr. Jacobson is a third-generation dentist from a family of dentists serving NYC since 1982, combining insights from specialty education with the latest in technology delivered with compassion.
Dr. Mark Jacobson was privileged to attend SUNY at Stony Brook School of dental medicine where there were six students to every professor and the number of hours attended were almost double that of other dental schools. After dental school, Dr. Jacobson was one of the fortunate few to enroll in a year-long general practice residency at Bronx Lebanon hospital, where he and two others honed their skills under the watchful eyes of preceptors. After five years in his own practice, Dr. Jacobson went on to join three other dentists (as well as interacting with the prosthetic and orthodontic departments at Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dental Medicine) for a two-year program to get certified in the field of periodontology. Although qualified to limit his practice to periodontology, his interests in both the broader opportunities in general dentistry and the potential to foster lifelong relationships with patients kept him in general dentistry. Dr. Jacobson has been a member of oral medicine organizations as well as the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Association of Periodontology.
